The hydrogen economy will play a central role in the energy transition. To this end, large electrolyzer plants for the production of hydrogen and derivatives, which are operated with renewable electricity and sustainable raw materials, and a suitable infrastructure are to be built and process and industrial plants are to be sustainably converted. The security of supply with competitive quantities of RFNBO hydrogen, which will be of domestic and imported origin, is an important prerequisite.

The targeted hydrogen ramp-up is challenging due to project-specific time, cost and quality requirements, as both the development and implementation of the projects are confronted with hurdles, risks and novelties.
